Slow Internet

Surfing the net is so....slow today that i think qqblog is the fastest site i've been. Yesterday slept at 11pm & duno y woke up at bout 3am. could not get back to slp anymore & just lie on bed. woke up at 7am feeling warmness of my body. Told my parents i'm not feeling well & they asked mi to take my temp. I think the thermometer spoil; it shows only 36.5.hai..bo bian..still go to work. it got worse after sitting down in front of the pc. Was feeling hot inside & cold outside. bth..told my supervisor i wan to take mc & her response was u go c a doc la. tell her also no use..wa liao..feel like slapping her. I just turn & passed my work to my coll & left. The gd thing is doc gave me 2 days mc. haha..so tml i will slack again.

at hm surf net, msn..duno got ppl free enough to entertain me or not..i think i wun be able to th the slowness of surfing..consolation to myself is that ppl out there r suffering more from the effects of the earthquake & tsunami than what i am facing now. 3wks to restore everything back is ererer very slow though. anyway, those ppl need even longer to build their hm. sad thing..since 2004 tsunami, almost every yr end will have some natural disaster. shouldn't it be a time for ppl to celebrate xmas & new yr? What's happening to the earth?

I would like to take this opportunity to wish every1 merry xmas & a great yr ahead!

Blink of an eye, 1 yr is going to end. I had changed a new job in Aug & this is going to end on 12th Jan. haha..Y? it's becoz I had enough there & I dun wan to grow old so fast. That job is so stressed that 1 day I just felt myself out of breath & my heart felt like pounding out. Thinking of that feeling, I feel so scary. In order to stop it from happening again, I decided to quit. Hope that there is greener patch of grass out there & i'll find a job fast so that i wun slack too long. Also considering whether to cont in the IT line again..If not, what else can I do? No interest, no forte, feel so useless sometimes. Hope that I will find ans to every qns i have.

Thanks to blogging that keeps mi updated with what my frds r doing recently even if we seldom meet up. Thanks to ah ooi who always bug mi to update my blog..ah ooi. what's the link of ur blog? I am so lz & bad in writing..i feel like i am reporting my life to ppl sometimes when I blog. hmm..maybe i dun have much things to share?

hmm..finally have my home network setup after so long of tapping into other's.haha..saw the news that the relevant authorities r taking action with those who commit the offence already. so scary man. Called up singnet a few times but they can't help solve my prob. Finally, 1 call to linksys & ta duh..they r the hero! The root cause is IP conflict bet the modem & router IP. I have tot of that 2 but then duno which subnet to change the Ip from. Call myself an IT grad? *Shameful* Finally can online without getting irritated dc..

yesterday went east coast for my boy boy bday celebration.So fast, he is already 1 yr old. I feel so old man..Time really flies..he was so cute when every1 sang birthday song around him. As if he knows that it was his celebration, he was smiling all the way, looking at every1. he got lots of ang baos & presents..*so jealous*...hope that he will grow up in gd health & become a useful person in future.

Nowadays I'm confused with these chinese proverbs.

1 mth+ with my new company, I feel that very long had past. Mixed feeling as in I also can't say whether it is gd or bad. Everything has their pros & cons. I can only say that I did not meet an old ugly spinster that always scold ppl or command ppl to do work. So far the coll there r very nice as in frdly, helpful & I feel that they r very true to ppl. Maybe is becoz they r foreigners from malaysia, myanmar or india. I feel that their attitude is very diff from singaporeans. It's a very different environment from my previous job. Although more ppl in this co., i dun see any office politics or watsoever. Ppl devote to their work & none of them has bad temper. Maybe is 2 early to say though. Recently, my supervisor went back her hometown, ipoh, & bought us keychains & some local goodies. She is so thoughtful as she also bought a piece of card for my coll who is leaving us. How sweet! she also organise a farewell dinner for them.

Having the mess in my thoughts, I really duno I am happy or not. As in just work lo..dun work $ wun drop from the sky. There is 1 client from microsoft whom I work with closely. He has only been working there 4 9 mths. 1 fine day, he suddenly said "maybe by that time I wun be here le". Then ltr he said "dun wan to work liao". I really feel his misery & I asked him y he suddenly sounded so depressed. He din ans mi but merely said there is always a greener patch of grass outside. He also told me working there for 9mths seems like 9 yrs had past. This brought up my thoughts again. Just wana wish him all the best & gd luck in finding a new & better job. As 4 mi, I still duno whether my 1 mth + is equal to 1 wk or 1 yr...

KL trip - 4~6 Aug 2006 (Episode 2)

I ended at the K yesterday..

11+pm. It was so furnie at the K.. As fen & jd don't understand canto, I was at the counter w remy. The recep told us bout the package & we agreed with RM40++ per person. When we went into the rm, jd asked how come it was 40++ as there was a package that he saw was 26++ but we had to wait til 12mn. As it was quite a big diff, we deicided to ask the waiter. After checking w the recep again, he asked us to leave the rm & wait outside again. We were so paiseh..i kept laffing & dare not q again for the rm. This time, it was remy & fen. Hmm, the recep explained tt there might not have available rms at 12 so we again took the same rm & package. so paiseh...

sing sing sing.. jd was so engrossed that he had so much expressions. wahhaa.. remy sang badly. (sad to say). Suddenly, I became a teacher of remy though i myself dun sing very well. The mistakes that I pointed out, others also agree wat, so means that I'm not wrong. hehe. fen sang quite well ..fun fun fun. we laff n sang til 5am. *shuang*! Some info bout the K. I like the decor. purple with round mirrors around. Very retro. & the resolution of the mtv r very gd. hehe..5/5 stars!

6+. zzzzz...

9+. breakfast in the hotel. Nothing much to eat though. 2/5 stars. slack til 11+. then it's time to check out. Went to buy our return tix. cheap cheap RM 35 onli. then took a cab to midway valley. Very big. like suntec city. a mixture of branded & normal shops. I had my baskin robins there! *slurp* campfire was the 1 i had. choc, mash mallow, mousse... the 1st bite was so smooth . subsequently a bit too much & tired of the taste. sweet!.4/5 stars. :)

rush back to the hotel to collect our luggages & hm sweet hm. Lucky, we managed to get back in time as there was a long q for cabs..

KL trip - 4~6 Aug 2006 (Episode 1)

Day 1 - Board sri maju coach at 11+ pm. Met up with ah fen at jelapang lrt 1st. Woo.. 2nd time i met her wo her being late. hehe. Then we head to clementi mrt to meet up with ah xin, tz & jd. jd was late!!! GRGRGR..he was 4given as he just wanted to be w his gf longer. haha. We thought we might not be able to be in time but fortunately, we managed to find our way to the bus terminal where we joined remy & weihao. :) *rush*...

The coach was cool! Mineral water & blankents were provided & the seats are comfortable. Just that the roads are rocky & the lights that shone in made me stay awake throughout the whole trip. I was also just 2 excited 4 the upcoming events...

Day 2 - Reach KL at 4-5am. Was surprised to c many ppl loitering in the sts in that wee hrs. We went to our hotel (Swiss Garden) 4 an early check in. It's bout 5-10 min walk from puduraya bus terminal. However, we couldn't check in early as there was no rooms available. Every1 was quite tired but no choice. Left our luggage there & headed to a nearby st (aloy st? got this from xin's blog) to have some bites & drinks. Not much shops were open. We decided on a malay stall & ordered tehs & a plate of fried rice. 7 ppl shared a plate of rice???..hhaa..we r not poor la. just that we had no appetite to eat. Not bad, quite tasty with a bowl of MSG added. Tz claimed that as he saw them frying the rice. So unhealthy! Wa, can't imagine. We tok cock, sing song, take pics til 7+. All thanks to jd & tz 4 the wonderful entertainment. haha..

7+ am. Returned to hotel to check our luck. *Sob sob*. Still no rooms. We then walked to KLCC to q for the sky bridge viewing. Ppl r real KS. By the time we reached there, the q was already quite long with mm.. estimate 50 ppl in front of us. A quite shuai japanese were behind us..hha..The waiting was not sian w him ard & another session of entertainment. haha. Dun misunderstand, we din tok to him. Bioing him is enough to kill time. lol.. Tix were distributed at 830am. We got ours at bout 9 & the time given for us to go up was 930. Can't believe we could tahan for such long periods of waitings.

Short brief of KLCC
Completed in 1996 with 88 storeys, 432m tall & the sky bridge at 170m height. Nothing facinating up there. We posed for some pics then went to have breakfast at BK.

Still got energy to shop at KLCC & returned to our hotel at 1+. Phew! We finally got our rooms & heng fen & I got upgrade to a superior room. Haha. Both of us no need to sqeeze in a bed liao..haha. Poor xin & tz had to wait for theirs to be ready while we had our showers & lie on our beds. *tsk tsk*.

4+. Went lot 10 & Sungei Wang Plaza w fen, jd & hao. On our way to the shopping centers, all of us suddenly stopped by the frangrance from a chicken rice stall. Wa. We were so attracted to the fragrance that we had the chicken rice there. We ordered steamed & roasted chickens & a tofu to share. Not bad.. The steam chicken is nicer. If i dun remember wrongly, the name of the stall is called "Mum's Chicken Rice" or smt similar.4/5 stars. Others were still zzing. haha..they missed the meal. *drooling?*

Shopping
Lot 10 was not very big. It's like 3-4 storeys only. Sungei Wang was more crowded w 6 storeys. However, I din find much things there as i find the clothes 2 kiddish. They were mostly birghtly colored. xin, tz & remy joined us ltr & had another short shopping b4 we returned to our hotel to catch the free ride to chinatown. We had the famous fried dark hokkien mee there. It's cooked w dark soy sauce, some pork & livers. Not bad lo. The noodle tasted like udon & it's a bit bitter. Special as we can't find it in spore. 3.5/5 stars. haha.

Bought things 4 my frd & sis there b4 we took the free ride back to hotel. Glad to know that the driver could drop us near times square as we wanted to go K. haha. Yeah! no need to walk there if we were to return to our hotel. Left w fen, jd & remy. Hao went back koonz while xin & tz went to visit relatives.

The K was named "New ... " ..

A new life

Went to sign employment letter for a new job after work. Took a cab again as cannot find the bus. Waste $6.60. so ex! Just from sembawang to woodsland industrial park.. that $2 peak surcharge & $2.50 starting rate is the killer!

Anyway, quite happy that a new life will begin soon. Factory worker kinda lifestyle with bus that fetches me 2 work but sad to say not back. The office will be in a factory and lunch to be eaten in a pantry. it's ok. save up & be richer in a few yrs time. endure!

It's gona be tough but it's the learning phase. Maybe it's gona be fun? SQL, .NET & all the nasty users out there, watch out, fear u not, i'm gona survive!

Sorry to my dear frds that I will not be able to meet u for shopping, movies, go mum mum & chill out le. Will definately miss the times but those times will be back..

Sorry to my dearest mum to 4give me if i'm 2 stressed & throw tantrums at u. Hope that I'll be hm after u sleep so that u wun c my shagged physique. Worry me not. Hope that I am big enough to go through the changes in life and face difficulties myself. U r always the 1 who knows mi best.

Say bye to carrying heavy hardware from 1 end to another.
No more stupid packing of files.
Say no to whole day surfing the Net & msn.
